Covington, Washington is a small city in King County with views of Mount Rainier. It has a population of approximately 13,783. Incorporated as a city in August of 1997, Covington was previously an unincorporated area of Kent. It is 5.8 square miles in size. 

Covington is a family -oriented small town with a 85% of all Covington households families. It has many neighborhoods of single housing units.  It is located in an area that is growing  and, when modifications to State Route 18 are completed, Covington will be connected to Interstate 90.

Location

Covington is located south of State Route 18. Auburn is located to the west, Maple Valley to the North-East and Kent to the North-East.

Highways

State Route 516 is Covington's main thoroughfare, running  west-east connecting Covington to Des Moines and Maple Valley.  Covington is approximately 26 miles from Seattle via WA-516 to Interstate 5. Covington is approximately 24 miles from Bellevue via WA-18 to Interstate 5 and Interstate 405-North.
